What do I need to bring/wear to classes?
All our sessions take place on either carpeted flooring or mats so please ensure that you and your child are comfortably dressed as the classes do require some sitting down/getting up and moving around. |
I have a younger child too, can he/she come to the classes?
Yes, if it is a baby you are bringing you will probably find it easier if they are in a car seat and can be left at the side of the class so you can give your full attention to the child registered in the class. Once your younger child is over one year old you may want to register them in the class particularly if they are joining in on a regular basis and want to play the instruments. You will be able to pay for the additional child at our reduced rate. |
I want to sign up more than one child but they fall into different age groups.
Ideally, children of differing ages should be registered in their individual age-specific class to get the most out of them. However we recognise that this is not always possible so please ask us about which age group might be the most suitable to bring children of different ages to. |
I work shifts and may not be able to attend the same class every week.
There is a degree of flexibility built into most classes, which would allow you to swap sessions if necessary. Please discuss any arrangements with us. |
Can I try a class first?
Generally we do not offer free trial classes. What we do offer however is to refund the balance of any fees paid if you and your child are not happy with your Jo Jingles experience. Jo Jingles is new for most children and it may take them a few weeks to settle in so we don't expect them to fully respond and join in at their first session.
Whilst one class can give you a flavour of what we do at Jo Jingles, it will not necessarily tell you whether your child will benefit from and enjoy the experience. We advise therefore that you give it at least 3 or 4 sessions before making up your mind whether to continue or not. |
Can I pay for individual classes?
We cannot offer a "pay per class" option as Jo Jingles is a structured activity with limited class numbers. To enable each child to get the most from the class it is necessary to have consistent groups each term. We provide a planned programme over the course of a term with each week building up to a balanced experience. |
If I start at one venue can I move to a different one?
Yes, if have the space. |
Can I come to the same class with a group of friends?
If you would like to join the same class with a group of friends (eg post natal group) and we cannot accommodate you all in an existing class then we may be able to start a new class specifically for your group.
Please feel free to contact us to discuss if this is the case. |
