| That’s me in the middle with my musical team |
|
Hi, I'm Mari-Vic Gomez and I have now been running Jo Jingles classes in Burton-upon-Trent, Derby, Tamworth & Lichfield for the last 5 years.
I am thrilled to be part of the Jo Jingles network and feel very privileged to be working with so many young children and families in the area. I passionately believe in the benefits of exposing young children to music and it's even more beneficial when this involves parents and carers too. Interactive, musical fun helps children to learn - it can build children's confidence, social skills and language skills.

The teachers
Jacqui Ellis used to come along to Jo Jingles sessions with her son who is now 7 years old and after much persuasion agreed to become a class teacher! Jacqui primarily covers the Tamworth area. You may also see Jacqui at the Snowdome where she is the Operations Manager and she also works at a local infants school of which she is a governor, in the reception class as parent helper.
Many years ago Jacqui was a dancer with the Tamworth Academy Dance School where she also took part in numerous pantomimes and shows.
Leigh-Ann James has been with the Lichfield franchise for 4 years, after beginning her Jo Jingles career with the Sutton franchise, which she joined after graduating from Wolverhampton university with a BA hons degree in Dance and Deaf Studies.
Having been a dancer since the age of 3, Leigh-Ann loves the active life that comes with being a Jo Jingles class teacher, and her role as a dance tutor in the evenings for 2-18 year olds only succeeds in heightening her enthusiasm for working with children. In this capacity she also teaches at Hamstead Primary School in Great Barr, teaching curriculum dance work.
Leigh-Ann has danced and trained professionally with The Birmingham Royal Ballet and The Birmingham Youth Dance Company, and has performed at a number of renowned venues, including the Birmingham Hippodrome, Grand Theatre Wolverhampton, the Place Theatre London and The Royal Albert Hall, to name but a few.
In her spare time, she loves performing and is a dedicated member and choreographer for the Trinity Players, Sutton Coldfield, wherein she recently played the lead in their production of Sweet Charity.
Recently married, Leigh-Ann cannot wait to start a family of her own and introduce them to the joy which is Jo Jingles.
Mari-Vic Gomez covers the Lichfield, Burton and Derby areas. She is a single mum of 2 children, Elise aged 8 and AJ aged 11. Mari-Vic is a Morrell Reflexologist, Allergy Therapist and has qualifications in Brain Gym. She works with young and old and also with animals. Mari-Vic used to play the clarinet in a band and recently took up tap dancing. |
