Hi, I’m Leigh Duke and together with Lesley and Laura we run Jo Jingles classes in East Lothian and the Borders area.

We currently offer classes in Tranent, Haddington, Prestonpans, Port Seton, Longniddry, East Linton, North Berwick and Dunbar.

If you are interested in attending Jo Jingles but the current schedule does not suit, let me know so I can keep you posted as further classes are introduced.

About Me

I was first introduced to Jo Jingles by friends with children and have taken my own daughter to classes since she was 6 months old. I saw first hand the benefits to children and thoroughly enjoyed the weekly sessions myself too. After 15 years of working in retail management and banking, I was looking for a new challenge that fitted in with my new family life. As there were no music classes in my local towns I just knew I had to take the opportunity to combine my love of children and musical skills with my business background ………so here I am!

Can you buzz like a bee, wiggle like a worm,
flutter like a butterfly or crawl like a caterpillar?

Then be a "Boogie Bug for the BBC Children in Need Appeal 2009"

Join us for our sponsored Singalong in classes all week from Monday 16th November to Friday 20th November.

We will also be holding a Children in Need Singalong Party on Saturday 21st November.

For more information please contact
Leigh on 01875 616607.

What is Jo Jingles?

Jo Jingles is the UK's leading provider of music and movement classes for pre-school children aged 6 months - 5 years (up to 7 years in some areas). The first classes were established over 10 years ago and the brand now runs in over 500 centres nationwide. Our aim is to give children an enjoyable and creative introduction to music through a wide variety of activities.

Each week the children learn numbers, colours etc through music, we sing nursery rhymes, action songs and have a variety of simple percussion instruments and visual props like streamers, balls, bubbles, soft toys etc. The sessions run for 45 minutes and parents/carers are actively encouraged to join in, this interaction helps the child to progress and we hope you will have fun too!

Why do Jo Jingles?

Research shows us that music is vital to a child's development,

Our classes can help children:

  • Develop language and numeracy skills
  • Improve physical co-ordination
  • Develop routine and discipline
  • Gain confidence and independence
  • Interact and develop social skills

And most importantly - Have fun.
