What is Jo Jingles?

Our classes run for 45 minutes and the emphasis is on fun! We start with our "Good morning" song, during which the children have a chance to say "hello" to Jo. Then we usually warm up our bodies to a song or two before getting the first percussion instrument out. All children receive the same type of instrument, so there are no squabbles! We learn how to hold and play the instrument correctly before having a go at playing along to a few familiar tunes. We then might have an action song followed by some lap songs for the younger classes, when child and adult can have some invaluable one to one time.

The older classes are more educational, following a weekly theme. We encourage interaction with help from the story board, pictures and props. Eventually we progress on to music theory and even homework in the 3 - 5s classes. To finish we have another percussion instrument section before singing the "Goodbye" song, where the children again get to give Jo a big hug if they want to!

To ensure that classes are of the highest possible quality numbers are limited to a maximum of 15 per class.
