At what age should my child start Jo Jingles?
The age groups in classes are only a rough guide as every child is different and develops at their own rate. However, we usually suggest that children begin classes at around 6 months when they can sit up with an adult sitting behind them. However, you can start classes at any age and at any point of term.
I have 2 children of different ages. Which class do I attend?
It is often easier to bring both/all of your children to the same class. We recommend that you attend the Jo Jingles class aimed at your eldest child. You do not have to pay for siblings under 1, and over 1 year olds get a £1.50 per week discount.
Do I have to join at the start of the term?
No you can join Jo Jingles at any time provided there are spaces in the class, and only pay for the remaining number of weeks.
Why are some classes in Playbarns
We offer some Jo Jingles classes in playbarns. These classes cost an extra £1 per week but this cover your childs entrance into the playbarn. The children can play with the friends they have made at Jo Jingles and the adults can have a drink and a catch up.
What can I do to help my child get the most out of Jo Jingles classes?
-
Safety is paramount in all our classes. We understand that young children get restless and our classes are designed to keep their attention with a mixture of sitting and activity songs. We ask that children remain sitting when we are using instruments and props. If they want a little dance or wander simply take the instruments off them and they will soon want to sit down and carry on playing. In older classes your teacher will tell you when it is safe for children to dance with certain instruments.

Please try not to chat with other parents during the class as it can be distracting for the children and they are much more likely to enjoy the session if you are singing, joining in and watching them entertain you!
