WHAT IS JO JINGLES?

Jo Jingles is the countries leading music and movement experience with the educational slant for children aged from 6 months to 5 years.

The highly established group offers successful programmes which give babies and toddlers a fun introduction to music through the use of songs, nursery rhymes, movement, dance and percussion instruments. Over the course of a term the children will play tambourines, maracas, drums, cymbals, guiros, bells…….At every class we play two different instruments and everybody plays the same instrument at the same time.

Our pirate theme made such an impression on Orla Parker (Hucknall 2 - 4yrs) that her Daddy had the creative task of transforming her 'little Jo' doll into a pirate!

The 45 minute classes are age specific and are held weekly during school term time. Classes usually contain no more than 15 children per class. Parents and carers stay with their child for the duration of the class as interaction with parents is a big part of Jo Jingles and provides quality time between you and your child! As well as classes being great fun, experts agree that music is hugely beneficial to a child’s development. Singing, dancing and playing musical instruments encourages children to develop their language and numeracy skills, improve physical co-ordination, confidence and social skills.

Each session is designed to take into account the ability and attention span for each age group and the structured classes often follow simple pre-school themes such as animals, transport, colours, numbers, etc. We incorporate old favourites and new songs along with a variety of interesting visual aids and props to hold the children’s attention and to aid learning. Props regularly used in our classes include a parachute and balls, streamers, feathers, bean bags, soft toys, picture boards, pom-poms, bubbles and many more. In recent months Jo’s ‘lycra’ has proven very popular!!!

Parties

Jo Jingles parties are a fun, imaginative and interactive way to celebrate your child's birthday. We can cater for small intimate parties in your home or larger parties (up to 20 children) in halls or other venues. Using musical instruments, fun props, parachute (if space allows) and bubbles, the children are engaged from start to finish.

We can provide a session of 45 mins or 1 hour depending on age. All you need to supply is a power point, adequate space and a few enthusiastic grown ups to join in the fun! Parties are suitable from ages 6 months to 5 years and are tailored according to age. Favourite songs can always be included.
