My name is Yvonne Galbraith and I am very excited to tell you that Jo and I are hoping to make lots of new friends in West Renfrewshire and Inverclyde!

The UK’s leading pre-school music and movement group has found its way to the towns of Renfrew, Erskine, Paisley and Greenock, and surrounding areas.

A Little about me…

I live in Hamilton (but moving back to Renfrew soon!) with my husband Kenny and my daughter Olivia who is 16 months old. Olivia has been going to Jo Jingles since she was 6 months old and it is the highlight of our week.

I decided to buy the franchise as I could see how much my daughter and the rest of her class enjoy the Jo Jingles experience. Many of my friends who live in Renfrewshire and Inverclyde were always asking when Jo Jingles was coming to their area, so an idea was born…….

What is Jo Jingles?

Jo Jingles provides pre-school children with a fun introduction to music. It has long been recognised that music plays an important role in pre-school children's development. Jo Jingles sessions commence with baby classes from 6 months through to sessions for children up to 5 years, and involve action and movement using nursery rhymes and well-known songs. The children are able to play a range of percussion instruments appropriate for their age and stage of development and we use various props and visuals to stimulate the children and actively encourage them to participate.

Sessions are structured, have an educational slant and are held weekly (during school term-time) and last for 45 minutes.

Benefits of Music for Young Children

Music is vital to a child's development as it helps children to develop language & numeracy skills and improve physical co-ordination. Music sessions also help children to gain confidence and independence and introduce them to routine & discipline. Music helps children to interact and develop social skills, but above all, music is fun!
