Laura Way - Newnham Downs, Plymouth - November 2006

I have been going to Claire Jones, Plympton classes for over a year with my 2 1/2 year old. Claire makes the sessions really good fun (with a onus on safety) and encourages not just the tots but the mums aswell. Katharine used to run around when she was smaller and easily distracted, and I wasn't sure whether to carry on, but with Claire's encouragement and a change of venue, I am glad we did as she dances and sings and has an appreciation of music and rhythm at home and in class.

I introduced a friend who introduced a friend and so on, and now we're all going out on Friday for a girlie meal (without the kids). I've told neighbours with babies too how good it is, so Claire had better not give up!

Claire arranged a super fun day in the city in November, where the kids got to meet Pudsey Bear and Big Jo, which was great fun. All the money went to Children In Need. It must have taken a lot of hard work and she has a good support team behind her!

As a thank you for supporting this, my friend and I were invited to the Eden Project to see her present her cheque to the BBC live on the local TV network and the whole experience was brilliant.

Thanks for making Friday mornings great fun Claire, and looking forward to next years classes, and Katharine's birthday party.

Debbie McCammon- Droitwich Spa, Worcester - November 2006

I am writing to commend one of your franchisees, Stella Thomas.

I attend the Monday Class at Droitwich (Worcs) with my daughter Charlotte and have done for 2 years, I feel Charlotte has really benefited from the class in many ways (language, rythym, social skills, respect of instruments and instruction from the teacher).

Recently Charlotte was moved up to the rising 3's, where the class has really stepped up, we are now doing 'Piano and Forte' and demonstrating those skills in how we play, they are allowed to stand for some songs to play instruments, children are trusted to use more than 1 instrument, but the most significant element has to be the book we are working from.

We look at an animal band and the instruments that they play, then the children have to listen to introductions and the relevant piece of classical music. To make the class innovative (which I always feel that Stella excels at) she actually brought into the class a violin which she showed the children but even better than that she played her own cello! the children (and parents) were captivated by her and after the class Charlotte kept telling people how 'clever' Stella was, she also remembered the instrument was a Cello.

One of the mums plays a flute, but hadn't done so since she was 18, Stella persuaded her to bring it in and play it, which she did yesterday, again the children thought it was wonderful. Stella asked questions about the instrument which the mum answered, she also took the flute apart to show the children how it was cleaned and why!

Charlotte also loves the fact that she has her own folder and colouring sheets that she takes home and then brings in the next week to discuss.

In all, I think that Stella is a real asset to Jo Jingles, she constantly has a smile on her face, she is always making us laugh (the mums) she is passionate about Jo Jingles and I look forward to attending her classes with Charlotte for a long time to come.

Kim O'Neill - Lisburn, County Antrim - November 2006

My Name is Kim O'Neill and I attend Jo Jingles on a Monday with my 13 month old son Michael.  Michael started in September just before his first birthday and settled in really well.  Karen Welsh in Northern Ireland is the franchisee.   Michael absolutely loves it.  He loves meeting the other children and I think this really helps his social skills.  He loves playing with the instruments which I encourage at home, as I feel it plays a big part in his development.  The actions to the songs are fantastic and we play them in the house all the time and have a Jo Jingles doll to do it with us.   He carries the doll everywhere and it has to go to bed with him at night.

We are going to the Children in Need party on Saturday and i can't wait.  I know he will love it too!

Kerrie Miles - Leighton Buzzard - October 2006

I’m writing in thanks for all the help Christine Levey of Leighton Buzzard classes gave to me and the Play Group that I am the Chair Person of.  This weekend Christine did a charity show for 50 children for Halloween.  The children some of who have never been to Jo Jingles before loved it as much as my children do every week.  To see there faces and interaction was a true delight and raised alot of money for a very good cause

thank you!!!!

Suzanne Leigh - Sandbach, Cheshire – October 2006

My daughter is 2 and started attending Jo Jingles about 4 months ago.  I am so glad that we joined Jo Jingles as my daughter was painfully shy and thanks to participitating in these fun sessions she has really begun to come out of herself and interact with the teacher and other children.  What a fantastic experience!!!

Claire Smith– Clifton, Nottingham – August 2006

My little boy Alfie is 2 and a half, and he attends a private nursery.  They have invited Jo Jingles in so that the children have a set activity every week.  However my little boy was a bit over whelmed with it all, so the second week they came in I took the day off work and did it with him, now week four is upon us and he absolutely loves it.  We have just purchased the doll and a cd and he has been busy teaching his Grandad, Nanny & Uncle how to “Put your finger on your head…” It is great and we often dance round the living room to the music doing the actions – a great work out for parents and the children!

Go Jo Jingles!!

Karen Wright – Warrington, Cheshire – August 2006

A friend told me about the local Jo Jingles class at Warrington when I moved into the area in 2003.  My daughter Hannah was around 2 years old when we joined and was very shy for the first couple of classes and I wondered if she would ever join in.  The class leader - Fran made us feel really welcome and encouraged Hannah to join in and after only 3 or 4 classes Hannah was center stage - singing and dancing in the middle of the room and singing at the top of her voice - it was really wonderful to see her enjoying herself so much!

Fran has such energy and enthusiasm and this really rubs off - she gives all the children lots of individual attention, while teaching them all as a group.

The educational value is second to none - Hannah found learning such fun and told the rest of the family all about the topics she'd learned about each week.  She really enjoyed the stories too - Fran had some great books and toys to teach and entertain the children!

Even my baby daughter attended with us and was thrilled with the jingle bells!

We really enjoyed the classes and attended up until Hannah was almost 4 when we moved down to the West Midlands and unfortunately had to leave.

We would encourage all to attend - the educational value and social development is fantastic, but most of all - it is great fun for both children and parents (even if we do have to wear elephant hats on our head!!!)!!!

Our thanks to Fran - we will miss your class.

Rebecca Chappell – Poole – August 2006

I am sure I am telling you something you already know but I just wanted to tell you how fantastic the Poole section of Jo Jingles is. It is beautifully managed and has some outstanding teachers who entrall delight and motivate my little boy. He concentrates for the whole class and spends his days singing to himself. We have our own baby Jo who goes everywhere with us and has given Tom so much pleasure. We have just got back from the summer workshop which was excellent the pace was good and they packed so much fun into an hour and a half. I would recommend Jo Jingles to anyone and I wish that every child had the opportunity to attend such wonderful classes.

Andrea Leib– Rickmansworth – August 2006

My name is Andrea and I live in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.

My son (almost 15 months) and I really enjoyed Playday in Watford, this week, especially Jo Jingles. It was wonderful seeing my sons face light up when he saw 'Big Jo' and a hug and kiss from Jo also helped too! Alison is so friendly and my son simply adores his Jo Jingles sessions.

Jo Jingles at Playday made our day extra special. Thanks Jo and Alison.

Jane Newson – Clacton on Sea, Essex – July 2006

My son totally loves Jo Jingles, he's now 2 and has been attending a class since he was 10 months old.  He knows so many words and actions from so many songs, which he sings all the time and I truly believe that Jo Jingles has brought his language, comprehension and counting skills on no end, in addition to building on his love of music.  Every morning he brings me one of the Jo Jingles CD's and says "Jo Jingles on now please" - so I'm pretty good with the words of the songs too!

I'd like to thank the teachers for the enthusiasm that they show and the attention to detail which allows them to utilise every opportunity as a learning experience, it's so appreciated by the accompanying adults and the children.  I particularly like the fact that the teacher always addresses the children rather than the adult, regardless of the Childs age I think Jo Jingles is an excellent preparation for a school environment.

Special thanks to Mary, Rebecca, Ronnie and a warm welcome to Trish.

Kerryn Harper-Cuss - Princes Risborough, Bucks - June 2006

Debbie Bird who runs classes in the Aylesbury area has been fantistic... she puts such a great deal of effort into her classes and babies and toddlers adore her.

I already have a very musical 11 month old on my hands and it is a joy to watch and participate so many thanks for that and good luck for continued growth and success.

Jo Crook - Penzance, Cornwall– June 2006

What a fantastic job Naomi Chance does in Penzance Surestart, we love to see her and Jo, it brightens our day and what a fantastic idea Jo Jingles is, my sons Harvey and Kian can’t wait for Thursdays to arrive keep up the good work.

Annmarie Wrench - Londonderry– May 2006

I took my two year old daughter to the Clooney Community Centre in Londonderry two weeks ago for the first time. Doreen was the class teacher and I must say she made us feel very welcome and it was great and Emma loved it - as did I.

My sister has even started taking her Son there now.

Can't wait until Tuesday again.

Vicky Jones - Ewloe, Deeside - April 2006

It is important to us to thank Sue Beatson very much for such an enjoyable and beneficial time at Jo Jingles.

I know that Hannah thoroughly enjoyed herself as she joined in with all the songs - a very verbal young lady I think!!

We would also like you to know that when I visited work last week, one of the teachers gave Hannah some bells to play with AND........Hannah showed everyone how to play them whilst dancing on her bottom, it was just fantastic to see!!! Of course Hannah now has her own set of bells and we will be getting a tambourine very soon!!

Thank you once again and hope to see you soon if my work commitments permit.

Iris Palmer - Aged 2 years and 3 months from Todmorden - April 2006

Iris loved your class today so much that she wanted to make a picture of Jo. Iris says "Hello Jo", what did you do today? My favourite song is singing Hello to Jo. (Who's that happy little fellow). I hope you enjoy the picture I made of you; I made the tambourine from milk bottle tops.

Happy Easter Jo.

Sharon Hulme - Stoke on-Trent, Staffordshire - March 2006

We have had two sessions of Jo Jingles now and we have really enjoyed it. Thank you very much from all at Meet-a-Mum Chell Heath and Bradley Toddlers. The music and actions are brill and the children really enjoyed it.
Thanks again to Sharon, Lisa, Shelly and Sue the Play Workers at both groups.

Emma Free, Ipswich, Suffolk - March 2006

I just wanted to say how brilliant Jo Jingles is.

I have only been taking my 11 month old son, Luke for a few weeks, but already I can see how well he is progressing.

Rebecca runs the class superbly, and Luke has really taken to her (she is lovely).

My husband was amazed to see how much Luke loved the music when we brought home the Jo Jingles tape, and has now ordered him the Play Along Sets and Favourites CD. He cant wait to sample what I see in the class.

Thank you for this truly unique experience and the chance to make learning fun with my son.

Caroline Hyland, Farnham, Surrey - March 2006

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to Jennifer Mellor for her wonderful Jo Jingles classes. I have been attending her classes in Farnham now for 6 years, at the moment with my 4 year old daughter, Sophie who thoroughly enjoys them and previously with my son, Oliver who attended until he went to school.

We joined the group when we first moved to the area when Oliver was just a year old and have been involved ever since. Jo Jingles is a significant part of our lives! It is an amazing experience week in week out as it includes so much music, social interaction, communication, self discipline and most of all FUN! Without even realising the children are learning just so much that it never ceases to amaze me the music things my two come out with.

Only last week Oliver who is now Year 2 came home from school to tell me that he had been selected to attend a Jazz workshop at school for those children identified as gifted and talented in music. I can only thank Jennifer and Jo Jingles for their input into this achievement. So THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Long may the classes run!

Claire Scully - Birstall

"I started to attend Jo Jingles Morley Class with my Daughter, aged 2 in Oct 2005, following an advertisement in a local magazine. My friend also attends with her son who is the same age as my daughter. We absolutely love the classes and truly look forward to attending every week. Diane our instructor is fabulous, she makes every one feel at ease and managers to make every week different from the last. My daughters favourite song's are the "Good Morning" song and "Little Bunnies". I really and truly recommend Jo Jingles and have even put up postcards in my local area (Birstall WF17). We attend many toddler groups throughout the week and I cannot help myself but to spread the word. I feel very lucky to have had the chance to attend classes with my daughter and have just registered for another term.

I have found that my daughter has become more confident and has developed much improved rhythm and movement. My daughter loves attending and truly takes part in every aspect of the class. I believe she enjoys it so much owing to the way Diane delivers her class. Diane gives the children the confidence to take part and achieve by constant praise.

I really and truly recommend Jo Jingles for anyone with young children who wants to spend quality time in a friendly environment and watch their children grow.

Heather Hodge - Sandbach, Cheshire

My Son Billy suffered a stroke while in the womb and was born with left side hemipegia which means he is unable to use the left side of his body properly. Unlike adult stroke victims who have the muscle and brain memory of how to use their limbs, he does not and has had to learn everything from scratch. He was only a little late in walking and to most people he now just seems a little clumsy but his hand has caused us more problems. His physiotherapist and occupational therapist are both fantastic but he needs to use his hand as much as possible to teach his damaged brain what to do. So his physio recommended that I find some activities that he enjoyed so that his therapy wouldn't feel like a chore - for either of us.

He's always responded well to music and a friend suggested Jo Jingles. We started just after his first birthday and we haven't looked back. The action songs and musical instruments encourage him to use both sides of his body, developing a sense of rhythm and building on language skills at the same time. He’s made friends with lots of his classmates and loves being part of the class. Taking turns and waiting for musical instruments and the all important "tidy up time" all help encourage routine and social skills that toddlers often struggle with - I only wish I'd known about it when his sister was this age!

Alison, who teaches the class, is fantastic. She involves everyone and helps me to help Billy without making a big deal of his disability. Her enthusiasm is infectious and her ability to control a whole room full of toddlers while still remaining their friend is miraculous! She manages to hold all their attention nearly all of the time and has a nack of bringing any "trouble makers" happily back into the group that I envy.

Jo Jingles isn’t just helpful during the class - on Friday mornings before class he wonders what songs they might sing and practices along with the actions. Then after class (and for most of the week) he re-sings and dances his way through them all again. (I’m writing this lying down and Bill is sat on my back singing Dingle Dangle Scarecrow).

This year he will even be having a Jo Jingles birthday party and is very excited that Alison and Jo will be coming to our house. So am I! I'm really pleased that I discovered Jo Jingles and would recommend it to anyone.

Natalie Sarratt, Waltham Abbey, Essex

I would like to say a big thank you for the great day we had at Chessington on Sunday. My 2 year old daughter and 7 year old niece were in their element with all the dancing and singing. Every member of your staff were fantastic and the ladies who held the classes were fantastic and the free tea, coffee and biccies went down very well with us parents.

My daughter attends classes in Bricket Wood and was over the moon to meet Pudsey and Jo Jingles himself! So thanks once again we hope the record will do well, we will be buying a copy or two. We would also like to give Alison Brazier a mention for the fantastic classes she holds week in and week out.

Good luck and best wishes.

Tammie and Ellie Goddard - Nr Southampton.

I have been taking my daughter, Ellie, to Jo Jingles in Dibden Purlieu since she was approx 18 months - when I saw the circle format I thought there is no way at all Ellie would sit still but went on to be amazed how quickly they learn, by the end of the first lesson she sat still and joined in! Our teacher Claudia is amazing, very supportive on off days and full of enthusiasm and praise for both mummy and daughter!

Some days Ellie just sits and listens and doesn't join in, but I know not to let that put me off especially when a couple of days later she sits and plays Jo Jingles with her dollies and sings away and copies everything we have done in a previous class! Ellie is now 2½ and can sing 100s of songs and actions and can name several instruments as well as know the correct way to play them and I find that amazing and completely believe it is down to Jo jingles so thank you!

Kimmy Stokes - Todmorden, West Yorkshire

We started going to Jo Jingles last year, Amelia Beatrice is nearly 2 years old now and absolutely adores it, she gets so excited Wednesday evening and then getting up and dressed is an easy task on Thursday morning. We have the video and Milly constantly sticks it on interrupting anything we are watching to show off her latest moves - Peter and his Hammer has been played on everything but the kitchen sink. We also have all the CD's as wonderful Jo who takes our Classes in Todmorden, West Yorkshire will witness too these are especially good for car journeys!!
