Jo Jingles Annual Conference 2023

You may think Jo Jingles classes are all about music and instruments but there’s so much more to it than meets the eye. It's not just about melodies, it's about the incredible people, our class presenters and teachers, and the experiences they create that make it truly special.

Recently, our Jo Jingles Annual Conference brought together over 40 members of our team for a weekend of collaboration, networking and inspiration. And we’re delighted to say it was a great success.

Unfolding amidst the splendid backdrop of Devere Latimer Estate in Chesham, class teachers from across the UK and Ireland gathered at this majestic manor house venue for a weekend of learning and celebration. With a jam-packed agenda, the weekend included a variety of guest speakers and interactive sessions, all focused on helping our network maximise the success of their businesses AND elevate the quality of their classes for your little ones to enjoy. These included:

Business Wellbeing

Our opening session, led by Claire Evans, the founder of The Centre of Wellbeing, explored the crucial topic of Wellbeing. Focused on managing stress and anxiety, Claire guided us through understanding how our senses (and those of our children) can be harnessed to overcome these challenges. We had great fun with one activity using singing bowls and beaters to amplify and influence sound - although it did get fairly noisy at times!

Nurturing Inclusivity

Andy Baker, MD and head trainer at Able Training Support Ltd, took the stage to explore Behaviour and Inclusivity. In this session we took a closer look into neurodiversity and child development. Such a fascinating topic and extremely useful in helping us understand why some children behave slightly differently, and more importantly, what we can do to help.

Workshops

Catering for the varied needs of our team, these sessions covered essential topics such as Dementia (for those running collaborative sessions with children and the elderly), sensory processing difficulties and the art of running baby classes.

Collaborating for Success

Interactive sessions helped fuel network collaboration, exploring topics ranging from customer retention and marketing strategies to standing out from the competition. Teacher top tips, music demos and innovative business and class ideas also formed the heart of these engaging sessions.

And it Wasn’t All About the Learning!

We also allowed ample time for relaxation, networking and team bonding. A delightful evening included a drinks reception, dinner, a quiz and music, creating a relaxed, fun environment for everyone to enjoy.

Jo Jingles Awards: Celebrating Excellence

To top it all off, the crowning glory of the conference was the Jo Jingles Awards. Recognising the outstanding contributions of our class teachers is something we take great pride in, and we really like to show our appreciation for all their hard work. Award categories included:

  • Most Supportive Franchisee of the Year (voted for by the network) - Andreas Alkiviades (Stamford & Peterborough) and Julie Cruickshank (Fife)
  • Outstanding Business Management Award – Leigh Duke (Edinburgh)
  • Best Newcomer – Nicola Donaghy (Greater Belfast)
  • Franchisee of the Year – Jane Kelly (North-East Ireland)

Special Recognition awards also highlighted outstanding achievements in areas like charity work and brand ambassadorship. A massive congratulations to all the winners, but in the Jo Jingles family, everyone is a winner!

Dear Jinglers Everywhere,

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation and guidelines provided by the Government and Public Health England* ( & all other relevant Regional Public Health agencies) our customers and class teacher safety and well-being is absolutely paramount.

Sadly, in view of the most recent news and recommendations Jo Jingles classes are now TEMPORARILY CLOSED in ALL areas.

However, you can still enjoy Jo Jingles @ Home – many of our Jingle areas are now offering fun online music sessions so contact your local Jo Jingles representative for further details either via Facebook or https://www.jojingles.com/find-class

If there’s not one available in your area at this time do take a look online to see where you can join another online session in our Network https://www.jojingles.com/find-class.

During this very difficult time we want to support families at home and provide some musical fun and entertainment for children.

If you would like to also stock up on musical goodies to accompany the sessions visit Jo’s Shop at https://www.jojingles.com/shop – it’s business as usual, at this time, for all online orders received.

This situation is evolving rapidly, and we will keep you updated if things change but in the meantime we are continuing to follow all necessary health and safety guidelines.

We’ll also shortly be announcing some NEW and exciting Jingle products too!

We will really miss all of our lovely ‘jinglers’ but hope to see you & all your friends again very soon,

A huge THANK YOU for your ongoing support.

Keep safe and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.
